What is Swelt?
Swelt is a collection of small scale and multi-media artworks presented and packaged as one cohesive unit. Swelt is released in 37 issues, each one containing one work each from the variety of good-looking, talented and prolific Swelt contributors.
What makes it a zine? Well, it will be released and exhibited in various formats twice a year- almost like a magazine. What is a zine? You know.
At the gallery, Swelt will be exhibited as one package for patrons to peruse. Individual pieces from issues of Swelt will be exhibited on the walls as well.
Up to 15 editions of Swelt will be available for purchase for just under/ around $10.
Proposals for submissions to Swelt #2 (tentative release date: Summer 2006) will be accepted immediately.
All About Swelt
Swelt Creates My Space Account
In an attempt to reach the world's "cool," Swelt has created a My Space account.

Not only is it "cool," it's powerfully intersexual, Mommy on snackday and happy to be here for you all year.
Original Call for Work
Please contribute to //swelt//, jenny & karen's fantastic new art zine!
The first issue of //swelt// [art zine] will be released on New Year's Day 2006. It will be in an edition of 37 copies, which will be distributed among contributors, zine-rades, & rare book rooms; and it will eventually-probably-most-likely be shown as part of an exhibition in a gallery in buffalo in ny and/or somewhere else.
Please submit your submission just as you wish. Size, material, subject matter, running time, color, creed: none of these things matter.
What does matter is that you produce something that you enjoy producing and that you can use to transfer that enjoyment. In order to be included in every issue (all of which will be unique as a matter of necessity), you should produce 37 of whatever you wish to submit. See also Fluxus, Yoko Ono, Robert Rauschenberg, John Cage, Tony Conrad, Nikki Lee and Found Magazine for inspiration. You can give anything; just give 37 of it/
Please dash off a short email to [swelted{at}gmail{dot}com] either confirming or denying your plans for participation in //swelt//. But we really hope you will confirm.
All submissions are welcome before 12.01.05.
Thank you and swelt.
